Duggins Coat of Arms

The Duggins family have lived in Willenhall for over 100 years, previous generations came from Leicester, Redditch and we believe the Cork area of Ireland. Duggins family originated in Ireland, and moved into England during the 17th Century. There are Duggins in most parts of England but our branch settled in the Redditch area of England, they were involved in the needle making industry. One of our descendents moved on to Leicester, where he raised a family, one of his Children then moved to Willenhall in the latter part of the 1800's. We have remained around this area ever since.

Wllenhall in 1904

Willenhall is a small market town in the Black Country in the West Midlands, England. Its first mention was in the 8th Century. It has been known since the industrial revolution for its lock and key making industries. Whilst many of the factories and workshops have long since vanished, some still exist. For hundreds of years Willenhall was part of Wolverhampton, but the town is now a suburb of Walsall.
